Slowly made my way to her,
A vision of delight,
I tried to resist her looks,
I soon gave up the fight,
She gleamed in the light of the moon,
A seraph in my eyes,
A mirage that played tricks on me,
A puppeteer in disguise,
Playing with the strings of my heart,
Twisting them around real tight,
Knotting it from happiness,
Invading my thoughts at night,
I did no know what was in store,
When I went to kiss,
I was naive to what was wrong,
The clues I always missed,
So I willingly gave it up,
My lips I concede,
Softly I kissed a razors edge,
Making my heart bleed.

Don't know why there were no comments on this poem but it sure is good.
I especially love these lines:
A puppeteer in disguise,
Playing with the strings of my heart
I believe I've been there.
Thank you for posting it.
