A stranger looking in,
Yearning to belong-
I'm stuck outside your world;
Thought I had the answers....
Turns out I was wrong.
You were living out a fantasy,
And these memories that torture me;
You don't even miss.
She's your reality.....
How much longer will I pay for this?
I can't convince myself that you never mattered,
So I try to pretend that I did;
But everytime I see you together....
Everytime I think of you with her-
My only sense of self preservation is tattered!
I want to be the one you turn to,
When times get hard;
And you feel like you won't make it through....
The one who's there-
When life becomes too much,
and the pain you cannot bare;
I want to be the one to lay beside you,
And hold you while you sleep-
I want to live inside your world....
Forever knowing that you love me;
All my doubts and fears-
Replaced with an endless sense of security.
Instead, I'm here alone, Thinking of you;
Always thinking of you....
Wondering where you are,
Or if your thinking of me;
Wondering what I meant to you-
If anything.
And theres no escaping these feelings,
Or these thoughts-
Your always on my mind;
Always in my heart.....
and when I'm barely holding on-
And everythings falling apart;
The only comfort I can find,
Is that maybe someday you'll remember me.....
And realize what you've lost.
Its the only thing I have,
And so I hold on to this dream;
Hoping oneday you'll see-
Hoping oneday......
I'll become your reality!

I like your poem alot,
I can relate to it, i think alot of people would be able to relate to your poem.
I am in the same boat as you,
i too am waiting for a day that the one i love will miss me.
Does all these thoughts in your head drive you mad?
They drive me mad.
