There's Nothing Left

The world is full of gray,
the hearts all cold.
There's nothing left to hold on to,
that's what we're told.
There's no one there to hold our hand
or make dreams come true.
They say there's no hope,
but only because that's all they ever knew.
Lost in the dust,
the light of hearts is gone.
Any peace of night
is forever stranded at the rise of dawn.
So many people tell me,
you're just a pawn in love's cruel game.
But I look them in the eye and tell them,
a life without love isn't worth any claim.
I've seen enough,
and this must come to an end.
The amount of hope behind the clouds,
is far beyond the ability to comprehend.

life's dark if you play their 'game'.
happiness, i think, results from making your own nest and laying eggs. crazy brown ones. and keep them for yourself. dont share them with the cookoo. do you see what i mean?
