Life's Plan

Contributed by dorkfish on Monday, 20th June 2005 @ 12:35:59 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

Spinning around me like a whirlwind
Knocking me down with a great force
Hurting me severely in a casual way
Slowly driving me off course

Feeding on my fears and angry admissions
Flowing through the air with bad intentions
Great to few, horrible to some
Subtle at times, massive for fun

Sitting on a pedastool laughing at us
Knowing we will make a huge fuss
Throwing us curveballs and obstacles to overcome
Making us think the worst is done

Making us stronger with every turn we take
Toughening us up with stress and heartache
Making some take their own lives
Making some feel deprived

Giving some all that is great
Giving others nothing but hate
Granting wishes for wonderful things
Killing happy hopes and dreams

It has a funny way of making us feel alive
Giving us choices it will just reprive
Making us feel we have control
Not knowing what more is about to unfold

Learning to take the good with the bad
That's the lesson it teaches and the plan it had
Dealing with it is the only way
After so much pain things are bound to be ok

This is really great, and I didn't find it confusing in the least...Great expression, the first stanza I could really, really relate to. I love the way you ended on a positive note as well.
Scorp.
