You saw the partially healing wounds
That were inflicted on my arm
And then made me explain to you
All I know about self-harm.
I told you every trick I knew,
Every plan and cleansing technique.
Because you’d all hate it if I got infected,
No matter how old nice or bleak.
So now I am in therapy.
And I don’t really mind.
I put the cuts where you can’t see,
Some on flesh, others in my mind.
I can’t see why you can’t trust me,
In a room by myself for a while.
Because one of you just have to come in,
Either for something, or to look at me and smile.
It’s really getting on my nerves,
That when I write or I’m on the phone,
You just cannot help yourself,
YOU WON’T LEAVE ME ALONE!

| they're just trying to help, i mean they have a good reason for checking up on you becuase you are still cutting yourself. Maybe you should give in and try to stop, life will be better. but other than that i thought this poem was good, like a mini story or a peek into your life. good job |

yes, very powerful poem. One to which I can relate, cutting can cause alot of worry for your parents and friends, thats what happened to me. But sometimes we need to get through it alone.
Great write, i enjoyed it.

Karis this is beautiful, you are getting better and better at writing poetry! Sorry I havent been around lately to comment, I'm so sad I missed out though, these are great! I love the concept here and you wrote it so well and in a very creative way, you express yourself well keep it up.
