Running far away,
Into the darkened night.
Demons who come to play,
With terror and such fright.
Awake in the sleeping hours,
Bringing about such fear.
Each one of them towers,
Leaving a child's tear.
Walk away from this place,
Tiny child of the night.
Don't look into it's face,
Go towards the light.
Innocense soon will fade,
Poor child now diminished,
As perfect as he was made,
The life is forever unfinished.
Bid farewell to life,
The demons took your soul.
One slip of that sharp knife,
Your debt is paid--that one huge toll.
