Jim

Topic: oops

Once I saw an ant
Walking upon a grid
He could not find his way
No matter what he did

To and fro he walked
Side to side he paced
Yet no matter where he trod
The same destination he faced

Becoming more and more confused
His thinking became unsound
Until I could see
His confusion was quite profound

Searching for his direction
Yet too confused to say
He lost touch with friends and family
Somewhere along the way

First one way then another
No light could he see
Until at last
He felt trapped - no more free

Slower and slower
Across the grid he moved
Until at last
All hope was removed

As I watched him falter
Sensed his hopes growing dim
A name came to mind
I would call him Jim

Just as hope was lost
His spirit all but thru
Another ant appeared
Then more came into view

Gently picking him up
With compassion plain to see
His strength was quickly restored
By the love of family

Russ
