Contributed by blackholesun on Sunday, 19th June 2005 @ 03:00:34 AM in AEST
Topic: FathersDayPoems

dad,i just dont understand why u were never there,
you didnt call,you didnt care,
18 years i lived with such fears,
why dont you love m what did i do?
i never did anything just to hurt you,
i was in pain and needed you bad,
but no luck for me,you wont be my dad,
im fighting my tears so damn hard, all i wanted was to give u a card,
but you forgot all about me like i was never there u shrugged me off without a care,
daddy daddy please tell me why?
would it even hurt you to see me cry?
daddy daddy where are you?
i just want to say happy fathers day too

I know all too well just how much it hurts not to have your father there. But let me tell you something that I have learned through this journey on my own. I'm better off without my father there and so are you. Do not let the fact that he is not around effect who you are or who you will be. Just remember that every person in your life now, cares more about you than you will ever know. That is all that should matter. You are not the one left with an empty space in your heart, it's your father. I also have a poem that I dedicated to my father. PLease feel free to read it and embrace the fact that you are not alone.
