don't make me cry

don't cheat and lie
and when i ask nothing
you can give me the world
and when i want something
i'll still be your girl
don't make me cry
dry the tears from my eyes
don't make me cry
i want to know why
you said those awful words to me
and you'll never take them back
now all the things you say to make it better
don't mean jack
i was hurt but you won't own up
i was sad but you won't budge
i am sick of living life this way
i ain't about to give you a nudge
if you want me back come get me
i am sitting here all day
but i won't go and invite you
that is not the right way
one day you will see me
one day you'll understand
one day you will want me
and wish you had been a man
i'll have fun on my own now
i am capable of anything
we were doomed anyways
now you whine and sing
but thats all ok now
i didn't cry
you don't make me cry
but it was over at goodbye
