I Am

Contributed by Man_On_High on Saturday, 18th June 2005 @ 09:06:30 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

I am the voicless stranger
the man of an age apart
a self of days gone by
footsteps in the dark
I have weathered storms
fought my battles surviving
clawing my way out.. I am alive
I am the love that was
the tortured heart.. a moment lost
I am a gentle smile left unseen
I am benevolent and kind
subtlety in motion
the bringer of words
the creator
a vaccant reflection
I am sanity
insane dangling from a string
I am a hurricane wrapped in an eye
an inhaled breath
deadly poison.. the softest touch
a kiss upon a soul
an angel with one wing
a whisper in the wind..

I am unwavering..
ForI am.

Great job!! I love the urgency of it, and the total contradiction in the words. Well, well done.

You are Billy, the writer, the dream, the critic, the human who has been through life enough to know, you are.

oh....Billy, Billy, BILLY!!

The title drew me in and I have been back to read this
several times .... such an inspired write, dear Billy. How
I love to meander through your pages and find little
traces of you left behind .... almost comforting, in
a way.

"a kiss upon a soul"

you are indeed...

eternally~
