Word's Beauty
Mirroring walls are constructed
With only rhyming verses
Never broken until selected
To be in death's hearses.
If a wall is torn down,
The entire piece is too.
If a rhyme only sounds
Once, it's noticed by you,
And an imperfection is
Always noticed instantly
By every perfectionist
Of word's beauty.
Yet, you read in vain
As the verses only reflect
Unrhythmic pain
Of a wreck
Rhyming sadness till it's perfect.

I have found in life that perfection can be found in anything, even imperfection if you just look for it. An optimists view ? perhaps. But the more I look at life the more beauty I find in the strangest of things. Like some words are just beautiful to repeat over and over on your tongue or in your mind. Beauty is in the mind of the seeker.

Morning walls are built with verses..
Now the verses reflect unrhythmic pain..
rhyming sadness till it's perfect..
Endless is the beauty of the word
though sadness is felt in its rhyme
only to attain perfectness..
Well done Jennifer. its a lovely poem

Wow, I've missed reading your stuff Jen. What a nice opener to get me re-acquainted once again. I would like to know your mindset when you wrote this one, because it seems genuine, sincere, and any other word related to those ones in the sense that you're talking about perfection that people rarely ever notice. They can however pick out the imperfections, and tend to settle with those. I'd be a hypocrite if I said I didnt do that myself. But anyways, the poem specifically was really well done, not at all surprising. I love the words you've chosen to rhyme with here, and your ending seems only natural, but at the same time well thought out. Excellent stuff Jen. |

Beautiful poem really thoughtfully layed out. I
loved the concept of the mirrors being
broken and then being put in hearses that
was brilliant. So anyway I really liked this and
I am glad i read this.

It seems you have taken your wonderful talent with words to write about forming a poem using beautiful words, and the many meanings it can can convey. Perhaps your point is that imperfection for some is the imperfect rhyme, while for others imperfection is the creative drive for freed up use of words without limitations.
Jennifer,
I may be way off, but I am so impressed with your ability with words - poetry

Wabi Sabi I believe it's called, seeing the beauty in imperfection. I think as poets we often times get caught up in the details of the composition, rather than just focusing on the message and letting the rest just fall into place naturally.
You've managed to do just that with your poetic grace. Truly a masterpiece, I love it.

*****Yet, you read in vain
As the verses only reflect
Unrhythmic pain
Of a wreck
I have come to trust in my years that the a poem shows the beauty of the heart whether it has a rhyming scheme or not.
Writing must never be stressed. It must flow directly from sources met in life.
Speak from the heart of knowledge first. Bring it to life on paper from hence it came.
Perfection is that poem not just written, but written to benefit the mind of a single reader that finds it helpful.
Every written poem there is, had a reason to be created. It does not matter the content.
*****Rhyming sadness till it's perfect.
And yes, it is sad to even think that one had to waste a mind of knowledge, to rip up or throw away a newborn poem, just because it had a flaw.
I love my rough drafts very much, and I could never throw them out. They are the original and true creation of my mind.
