She watches her chest heave
her pulse races
Her body struggles to contain the pills
and she reaches for a knife
The poison has glazed over through her eyes
She wishes she could let go
Let go of the addictions
the problems she holds for her friends
and maybe she has
Maybe she can't feel them
as they cry on her shoulder
or hear them as they scream blood.
