Swift and Sweet

Contributed by burningintherain14 on Saturday, 18th June 2005 @ 01:55:25 AM in AEST
Topic: psychoticpoems

People see me as happy
Having a great life
But what they don't know
Is how I use a knife

I don't let people see
The true side of me
How I cut so deep
Ending up on my knees

I hate how I can't open up too people
And tell them all my problems
But it doesn't matter anyways
There's no way to solve them

It's like I put on a happy mask
Pretending to be something I'm not
Acting like im cheerful
While my self-esteem rots

I come home from school
And go straight to my room
Thinking about my life
The different things I could do

Finding there is nothing to live for
I write a suicide note
I grab a sharp knife
And slowly slit my throat

As blood falls from my neck
And tears drip from my eyes
I can't help but wonder
How soon I'm going to die

I begin to get dizzy
My body starts to sway
I just close my eyes
I can feel my life fade away

I fall to the ground
My heart no longer beats
But don't feel bad
Suicide is so swift and sweet.
