Winter

Contributed by foxfire44 on Friday, 17th June 2005 @ 08:55:41 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

The clouds turn from blue to gray
Warning winter weathers on it’s way

Birds begin to band together
For flights south to warmer weather

The cold now stars to seep with in
Leaving a chill of goose bumps on the skin

What once was a warm pleasant day
Is now cold and drab you stay in to play

The trees are shedding their foliage of leaves
What an array of colors fall with the breeze

The squirrels all scurry to collect there nuts
And makes their nest with sticks and brush

We see all the changes taking place
Winter is a time to slow the pace

God gave us winter to snuggle and cuddle
Form a closer bond, through out the muddle

Nature poems are one of my favorite types. They are the best way to relax. It is hard, however, becuase in order to make a nature poem truly good you must go beyond the whole... "The sight of snow falling is beautiful" thing, but you did well. Sweet write!
