Outside

Topic: DarkPoetry

Stuck on the outside
Not allowed on the inside
You push me away
Every day
Lock yourself up
Try to act tough
Fighting it by yourself
Asking for death
I want to be at your side
Don’t want you to die
All I ask is for you to talk
Come with me and take a walk
You put yourself down
Always wear a frown
Rarely smile; rarely laugh
You only cough
When I ask you what’s wrong
Say you must get on along
You walk away from me
I want to scream
I don’t know what to do
With you
I’m your friend
Until the end
But this you don’t see
You make me
Upset all the time
Giving up is not fine
I want you to be better
Be a little happier
But you make me cry
When you say you want to die
I know you lie
When you say your fine
I want to shake you
Yell at you, too
You lock me out
Live in doubt
Won’t let me inside
Leave me on the outside

Awsome one. I know the feelings in this one all to well. I am going through the same with someone close to me. Keep pluging away. Sometimes it takes a little brow beating to get a person to open their doors and let you in. I am trying my hardest to get the one I love to let me in. Keep up the good work..

This is perfect. I love the way it flows & it's exactly what I needed to see tonight. You have amazing talent & the only advice I can give you about your friend is don't lecture them about their problems. They don't need to know your opinions, they need to know you are there for them. Show them this poem if you still can't get through. Good luck & great write!

maybe if you opened up to them first, they would then open up to you?
