Engaging

Contributed by hauntedscorp on Friday, 17th June 2005 @ 12:06:53 PM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

The tide is turning
winds of change abound

This house no longer a home
a trek so daunting...

That ring of trust---broken
cause and effect unknown

No longer a comfort
no longer AFRAID

Embark on a mission
strength and comfort in tow

Guilty pleasures exposed

Wanted by some...
needed by none.

Youch Scorp.

I like this. It seems like a random collection of thoughts, but it also seems more. (I know that doesn't make sense. lol)

The last two lines are really sad though. Powerful too, they hit me hard.

Great write hun,
*hugs* Phil xxx

Gotta agree with Man_On_High on this one Scorp. Once again you leave us wanting more. You are much too humble and I still believe you're one of the best here. Great job!!! Not that I don't like the other lines but "Guilty pleasures exposed"....too cool!!!! And yes I gave it a five because once again, life is unjust, and there is not a higher score to give. Definitely a 5+++++++++++++++++++, definitely a 5+++++++++++++++++++ plusser :)

The poem is very engaging; and to me, seems to depict a person ready to move on in life after a trust is broken.

Well done, Scorp

I agree, this one was good (like most of your work) it just seemed like it was missing something. It seemed like it ended without being finished. Good job though!
