To the Ones Blind of Our Love

Contributed by xXcrossedXx on Friday, 17th June 2005 @ 11:05:19 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

A kid, a teen, an adult,
They show it differently
But its your fault
If you don't bother to see.

When a kid loves you,
They do everything they can to prove
That they really do.

When a teenager loves you,
They'll do anything just so you might say
"I love you too."

When an adult loves you,
They're on one knee waiting,
'Till you say "I do."

We all love you
And all we ask
Is that you realize we do.

But it wouldn't hurt
If you loved us too.

Awww...Well done. I really like this, and isn't it sadly true? Good job.

Scorp.

Yeah..unfortunately this is very true.

People tend to take for granted the people that love them, way too much.

Good write, lots of truth.

You've got such a talented and unique way of putting things. I love this observation of the world around you especially, as you've made such strong statements that are simply impossible to argue with. It was really a pleasure to read and find myself easily placed in the first two categories, and just so eager for that last one to fall into place (sadly, I have yet to become that old. lol). This reminds me so much of the way I think of things too, and that must be something I enjoyed to read as well, because it just so easily fell into line with the way I think. I especially loved your ending, as the idea of reciprocation in love is what can get me the most angry with the ones that I "love." I think I'm babbling now though, lol so I'll just say that I loved this poem! And now I'm off.
