Inside the empty house tonight,
In the corner on a shelf,
Lies a big black monster,
A telephone by it self.
A red light blinking off and on,
A message to hear on display,
Wonder will she listen,
To what I had to say.
Deep in my heart,
I did not want to say the words,
It is not for me to have to say,
She is the one that did the wrong,
But I am the one that had to pave the way.
I said I was sorry,
I said I wish that we could get along,
But in my heart I know her words,
She will say she done nothing wrong.
I am a christian,
I want to be just like Him,
Just like what he had to deal with
People treated him wrong back then.
I am just like him,
I have to just turn my head and cheek,
I have to bring peace to all,
It just has to be.
So pat when you come home,
When you see that light a blinking,
You will hear my words,
I am forgiving.
No I don't see in the future,
It getting better,
But living on this earth is but a little while,
I will be in heaven forever.
