Seen a shooting star today,
Rending through the distance,
Even though t’was far away,
I witnessed its existence,
Empyreal at first sight,
Draining away my breath,
Just out by chance tonight,
I witnessed a sacred death,
Propitious was the time,
I couldn't help but smile,
Preparing this simple rhyme,
My thoughts versatile,
Lost within my mind,
I gazed into the sky,
Enjoying this subtle find,
This quiet way to die,
Trickling through the dark,
Bothering no one as its goes,
I still managed to see this spark,
So to you I must repose.

Hello:
Amazing at it may seem, your vivid writing allowed me to see the description of your shooting star.
Sometimes we are that very shooting star.. model of the universe that will also die.. yet hoping our spark goes on eternally..
Thank you for the beautiful write..
Yours Truly,
Raquel Leah (Poetress) |
