anguished

Down and out I feel a life of worthless guilt,
I'm not sorry for every emotion or feeling I've ever felt.
I wake to only die another day in a life I did not want,
I play along with these foolish games standing straight and taunt.
I'm a poet and an artist and never prouder then myself,
I have an expiration date but for now I sit upon a lifeless broken shelf.
Here I shall stay and wait till one day I am taken from this cursed place,
And then only then will I discontinue my piteous chase!

Very emotional piece. I liked the lines:
"I'm a poet and an artist and never prouder then myself,
I have an expiration date but for now I sit upon a lifeless broken shelf.
Here I shall stay and wait till one day I am taken from this cursed place"
Very nice write! Keep it up,
