It happened so fast
He didn't see it coming
There was nothing he could do
Couldn't even try running.
All he wanted was to take a little stroll
Not knowing his death was about to unfold.
I never would have guessed people can be so cruel and discreet
To kill a poor puppy and leave him on the street.
He was a sweet dog and a great friend
I wish I had known it would be the end.
I didn't get to say goodbye
Or pet him one last time
He was so very young to go
Why did he have to die?

Oh my gosh honey!! That's terrible...I'm so sorry for your loss. This is such a poignant write for your furry friend...It's never easy to lose a pet; especially so unexpectedly. Take Care...*hug*

Oh gosh, I am so terribly sorry. My little furbabies are as dear to me as my children and grandchildren. They give us total unconditional love. I just do not understand how people are so cruel to animals or others for that matter. I am sorry for your pain.
