i broke into her life
and told her all my scars
were deeper than the knife
could ever stab at stars
i broke into her eyes
and let the wet tears free
they dripped into the skies
then fell back unto me
i broke into her soul
and saw the house of cards
i'll play to make her whole
so she won't break into shards
then.. the tables turned...
she broke into my heart
and demanded all my pain
be like paper torn apart
then left out in the rain....

| Most definitely a good write on this one bro. The ending was awesome and as you know I love a good write with a strong ending. You have out done yourself on this one. Great choice of words and it flowed very smooth. I read the last stanza like 4 times it was really good and put a warm feeling of joy and pain in my heart as I read it. It feels awesome when you find someone who can set your pain free like this. Good write my friend and much love always, your friend….Steve |
