Utopia is a perfection
A life with no perplextion,
A place with no troubles
The only tears are kids' bubbles.
Perfection is not real
For pain one can always feel,
Nothing is perfect,
So a utopia just isn't worth it.
. . . .
Happiness is a feeling
That is constantly dealing,
With nothing, Cause happiness is a perfection
A feeling of no perplextion.
Which means utopia equals happiness
A place and a feeling without a perplextion
A place and a feeling of complete perfection.
But nothing is perfect,
So is happiness even worth it?

I can see where you're coming from, but I see happiness differently. I think earthly happiness is not necessarily a utopian concept, but a contentment with what you have when you embrace your pain. Pain makes things beautiful, because if there was no pain, the things that do make us happy in life wouldn't seem as wonderful. So truly, one must hurt to be happy. Anyway that's just my opinion.
As far as structure goes, I like the flow, and I LOVE poetry that makes you think.
Thank you |

Wow, that was amazing. I feel like that sometimes. I don't really believe happiness is worth it because of all the trials you have to go through to be happy. |

Well done! I really like the way you flipped this around, and played with the words a little...Keep it up; this was really good.

This reads like a full thought process, and your conclusion seems only natural, given your definitions of utopias and perfection and everything in between (which would be happiness, lol) but I have to say that it was truly an intriguing write. It's as if the poem runs in circles, almost second-guessing itself (those thought-process elements), but at the same time there's a method to the madness, to use a cliche lightly. My idea of utopias and happiness and perfection are a tad different from the way you've portrayed them here, but I think that's a good thing. It demonstrates a level of stereotypicalness(lol is that even a word!?) that adds to the effect of the poem for me personally. I think it was a great poem though, it was just so brilliantly unique, and the themes addressed were heavy as well. Great stuff. |
