Empty Spaces

Empty Spaces

Creeping past broken dreams, and forgotten memories.
Fading into nothing, are the burnt pages of sour melodies.

Do you see the dark signs of the night, the purple haze and twilight?

Chromatic pictures of deemed loses, and a crowds of cursed souls.
Marred perfection of every scent of blame, and the stinch of goals.

Have you heard silence of the sound, the deep howl of the nonexistant hound?

Death bleeding from of tired veins, and life ending from the broken hearts.
The balance of nature, and the curruption of civilization as it falls apart.

Can you feel the dots used to create this picture, or have you lost your sences in such a mixture?
. . .
Each verse a story of its own, each word a meaning set in stone.

Such a coincidence, its a contradiction that it all needs, to even be in existence

"the deep howl of the nonexistant hound"?
I think many of us have heard this and cowered in silence and darkness fearing all around us. Generally it is a traumatic stress reaction to some event or happening in our lives, whether recent or in the forgotten past. I had to seek help for mine and I no longer hear the howl. Good luck.

Grim and cold, like, well, like the end of the world. Very well-spoken, also.

Have you heard silence of the sound, the deep howl of the nonexistant hound?

That is a good line. Keep it up.

Andrew

Wow! Very deep and powerful piece Clark! The structure was excellent, as of course you made it to be. Great metaphors, I loved it.
