Time to Bid Farewell

Contributed by kaya-chan on Wednesday, 15th June 2005 @ 04:34:12 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

it seems like only yesterday we met
seems like only yesterday we began our journey together
now the year has come to an end
and we must all bid farewell
to those with whom we have grown close
we must all bid farewell to the people who touched our lives so dearly

they taught us, we taught them
but most importantly
we've learned to love one another
to deal with those little quirks
we have learned to share, to play fairly, to live
and now it's time to bid farewell
to those with whom we have grown close
we must all bid farewell to the people who have touched our lives so dearly

maybe one day when we've all grown old and sit in rocking chairs
reminiscing of the past
we'll remember those whom we had grown to love
and thank them for all they've done
for a little while, our memories will take us back
and we'll all see each other again
but then it's time to bid farewell to those with whom we have grown close
we must all bid farewell to the people who have touched our lives so dearly

it's time to bid farewell to those with whom we have grown close
we must all bid farewell to the people who have touched our lives so dearly

This is very lovely indeed. Friday is our Graduation and I am touched by this... From a Principal's point of view, it is also hard saying goodbye to girls you have taught and learnt from over 7 years...
Well done..and all the best to you,

Jenni
