The Nothingness

Contributed by masked_man on Tuesday, 14th June 2005 @ 08:52:09 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

Some pray to your fictitious tale
as if you so exist,
Though never a sign of benevolence seen,
still some persist

A bitten fruit? The cause for this hell,
Bitterly absurd -
Blasphemy reigning free
despite the written word

Some pray to you in hopes that when
they die their lives will be complete,
and join you above in a vision of grandeur...glorified defeat.

Above the clouds - your far off land
beckoning all below,
In search of something,
but soon they will know:
Nothing but love,
Nothing but peace,
Nothing but happiness,
Nothing, Nothing, Nothing

You almost had me convinced masked man..
'till the end, where I think you contradict yourself in many a way.. by saying:

"In search of something,
but soon they will know:
Nothing but love,
Nothing but peace,
Nothing but happiness,"

but then you try to finalize your blasphemy with:

"Nothing, Nothing, Nothing"

(scratches head confusedly)

so which is it.. huh?
tell me.. which is it..

Respectfully Yours..

M.O.H.

thank you for your comment MOH.

allow me to explain:

by knowing that there is nothing is to know love peace and happiness. its sort of an ironic twist of fate.

feel free to private message me if any further questions arise.

powerfully written and to the point, yet still a bit of ambiguity in the last stanza.

i enjoyed this poem greatly.

Glad I ran into your poem.. if we could know and see everything, do everything.. we would all be Gods.. No reason for a prophesy to be fulfilled, and no where to go after this experience on earth.. On the way to hell, I sure hope the road is blocked.. and a detour sign reads.. this way to heaven.. lol.. anyway, yep, I figured out the meaning to your wonderful poem.. the who, what, where and why.. and ... how I pray we all make it, and no one is left behind.. Satan and his little angels have no bodies.. they aint getting mine.. Horray for the second coming!! We could all use a second chance.. Raquel Leah..
