Darkness to Light

Contributed by dreamer_for_eternity on Tuesday, 14th June 2005 @ 03:31:20 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I am unable to say
I just wanna be me
For I don't know who I am
Or who I am going to be

This is not a bad thing
Nor a fatal flaw
Perhaps everyone my age is like this
Maybe it's an unwritten law

I have my dreams
Likes and dislikes
Yet it doesn't form who I am
There's a dark hole still in the light

When we first started off
It was a world of darkness
Slowly the light slipped in

Growing more each day
Evolving each year
Our personalities became more clear

Yet I not being
Filled up to be complete
Still have void's of darkness
Casting shadows on the streets

When I finally do know
Who I will be
That is when the light's in place
And I can just be me

If you don't agree with my theory
I really could care less
But to all who have always known who you are
You truly are deeply blessed
