A Mending Love

I close my eyes
Spread my arms
Fall back
Over the cliff
Faster and deeper
I plunge
Into a black void
A world of love
Taken, abused and torn
So much pain
Sounds of a ripping heart
Love,
It’s a joke
Unless cares for
Taken seriously
Instead those
Luck enough to get it,
Torment and push it away
Except those blessed few
How blissful it must seem
A perfect world
That, to those in pain
Does not exist.
I open my eyes
Look into yours
So much passion
Hidden behind the veils
A secret world
Of pleasure and bliss
The race of your heart
The flutter of butterflies
The four letters of mine
More powerful
Then all others combine
So many envy
They don’t have
The rare gift
Of a tattered heart
Mended by love
In the truest form.
