Darkly, rich, humming strings of the cello-
Unsettle centuries' dust in its prime.
Mournful violin partners the bellow-
Of emotions pouring forth from its time.
Softly the duet succeeds in bringing-
Tears from souls trapped, an era forgotten.
Then, soft laughter in spite of such ringing-
Of hymns echoed in pasts woe-begotten.
Slowly, after days, lifetimes perhaps of-
Nocturne-epitaphs for persons unknown;
Trio diminishing into a glove-
Of saddened entities, ending alone.

Great rhyming verse.
Love the theme of the poem.
