a place called home

Contributed by wakegurl77 on Monday, 13th June 2005 @ 08:24:41 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

There is a place
that im yearning for
i refer to it as home
the thing is
my house is
nothing of the sort

my home is a place
with a guy to love

my home is a place
where it is summer every day

my home is a place
where my bed is a cloud

This is a place where
the sun allways shines
and we walk on warm sand
everyone lives on the lake
and i can allways hang with my friends
here there is no difficulty

home is a place
where i dont have
to worry about my brother
and where he loves me
like i allways have him

home is a place where
no one i care about
wastes their love
on someone who is not worthy
and you always know when they are

home is a place
where there are no drugs
and i would see my
uncle marty everyday
and he would still be sane
home is a place
where i would know
my grandfather
insted of his drinking habits

this place called home
is a place in my dreams
often my mind wanders here
and i realise it would never happen
because it is a perfect place
and nothing is perfect

not in this world at least

You know, that is very true. i can tell this is a very personal poem and i am glad that you shared it. :)
the wording needs to be touched up a bit and your english needs work, but i'm just nit-picking. its what i do lol.
i liked this. well done, keep it up.
