There was once a Valor Man,
Who rose out from the land
Of Chang Shan.
Hoping that a new peace, would come.
Zhao Zilong, was this warriors’ name,
His strong beliefs and loyalty would bring him to fame.
“The Little Dragon” served under the reign
of the warlord “Zan”
A man who had great influence, over a wide terrain.
Serving only where justice and virtue may lie,
“The Little Dragon” waited as time went by,
To find the “Lord” in which was worthy,
Of the Dragons strength and time.
The one “Lord” in which the land would be unified.
The Little Dragon found such virtue
In an old friend, who would be the Lord of Shu.
The man named “Liu Bei”, none the least.
Would he be able to unify the land into peace?
The Dragon of Chang Shan
Believed it so
And followed his new found “Lord”
To where ever he were to go.
“Never shall I betray justice”
To heart did Liu Bei take these words.
The words of a Dragons’ promise.
Liu bei’s trust in “The Little Dragon” never did falter,
Both always trusted and believed in each other.
This proved true in the escape of Chang Ban,
The abandonment of his son and the Lady Gan.
Zhao Zilong took heed and rode toward enemy lines,
All to save these two innocent lives,
Risking the fact his own comrades would were to believe
That from his Lord, he would leave.
Liu Bei never once believed this fact
And to prove loyalty true, Zhao Yun , came back.
With son in hand and wife protected,
This one battle became “The Little Dragons”,
most greatest legend.
More battles would arise
And there the Dragon of Chang Shan,
Would lead the enemy to their demise
Before his Lord death, in which was terribly grieved,
3rd of the Tiger Generals, Zhao Zilong would come to be.
He continued to serve under the one child he saved from death,
Still the loyalty of the Dragon was still in kept.
“The Little Dragon” would soon go into an eternal sleep,
Sadness filled the people’s hearts deep.
Honored with a title only 12 were named.
“The Little Dragon” that once arose to find the peace,
The land and people so greatly deserved,
Found it one man, one friend, his loyalty he would keep.
Protected his Lord, through and through,
Staking his life for the people of Shu,
This was the Legend of Zhao Yun.
