you and i

Topic: SecretLove

I never knew you existed/ My life was based on everything but you/ You were a total stranger/ I could have cared less about you/And if you had died I wouldn’t have noticed/ Then one day without asking at all/ You walked thru the door of my life/ I fell in love with everything about you/But you didn’t even know my name/I knew that if you had died/ I could have cared less if I did too/ My life was versed on you/ Then one day I died because of you/ You walked back out thru the door of my life/ And you didn’t know me at all/ Then when I died from you and lived another life/ You turned around and looked at me/ You saw my existence and knew my love/ But not for you, I was single/ When you didn’t know me / Now it’s too late I’ve already said “I do”

perhaps this is all wrong, but i got a sort of failed reincarnation theme in this one, i have also always liked the sort of "i loved you but you didn't know i existed" theme. It reminds meof that song desert rose by sting, but more melancholly, i like it, but one suggestion, instead of using backslashes, perhaps use the line by line approach, but then again, it's your work do what ever you want, i like it.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
