To My Daddy
I remember you as my hero,
I remember you as my friend.
I remember you every day,
My love for you will never end.
You were as strong as Paul Bunyon,
As gentle as a lamb.
I was your little princess,
Beside you I would gladly stand.
We sang “Found A Peanut” with you playing guitar,
I loved hearing your voice, you were my superstar.
Every visit I had with you made my heart soar,
I miss you so much Daddy,
I only wish I could have seen you more.
Now in Heaven you are the leader of His band,
And I know one day again, dear Daddy,
Beside you I will stand.
