Another Day in Paradise

Contributed by Jaycee on Monday, 13th June 2005 @ 06:35:29 AM in AEST
Topic: hbadday

He spits in my hair
and then in my face
he scratches my arm
blood runs over the place

He demands independence
the right to be free
but he cannot run his life
I point out shrewdly

He must stay outside
and wait for the bus
please try and stay calm
and not make a fuss

That's too much to ask
my arm is so sore
not taking no for an answer
he kicks open the door

The deadbolt goes lying
and slams into my gut
when it comes to his way
he's such a zealot

He stomps on my foot
and pounds on my back
my heart dies with eah
renewed attack

It's so much to handle
my heart fills with rage
bur guide him out of my place
I feel twice my age

My heart it turns black
and mired with hate
looking down the street
for the bus I do wait

This is my life
and I feel so alone
Selfishly I wish
someone would write me a poem

FYI: This stanza:

Selfishly I wish
someone would write me a poem

is directed at one person in particular, not at the YPDC group as a whole. Given that no one (but me, lol) has commented, I guess it needed to be said.

that is a great poem JC. sad tho... i hope u feel better. its like... if u rilly think about it life is sort of like a cloud. one moment theyre white n puffy and the next theyre dark and pouring rain. there are times when your life will be puffy white and others when it is dark and rainy. i hope through the rain you will be able to see the sun pushing its way through the black clouds to once again provide light and, in this case, happiness.
luv n hugs, wish u the best,
jennie*

its a feeling that we feel, and you must learn that he may not no all that is good for him, but he knows more than you give him credit for, keep up the fight, it will do him good in the end

Selfishly I wish
someone would write me a poem

i will write you a poem, do not fear, we all want poems, for they symbol things and have a meaning that will fill our heart with joy, they tell us that someone cares, someone is out here with me and took the time to write one out, unless of course your desire for poems is symbolic then you will have to search for that answer to a lonely prayer.
