All I did was blink and look here I am now
Seventeen years later I do not know how
It all seemed like yesterday I was a child and could play
Without a thought in the world living happy every day
For my life holds no happiness now the simple days have flown by
Remembering back to my early years I am crushed and do cry
Nothing mattered
Nothing could hurt you
It was then I was so alive
Now I hate every second of this
Take me back to the age of five
For now everything has changed
And I’m sick of looking back into the past
Begging to feel that innocent joy again
That I took for granted and did not last
Oh my God it’s just so sad there is so much that I miss
My dark mind thinks back to those years of unmatched bliss
Now of the years ahead I am overcome with such dread
A future so scary wouldn’t mind if I was dead
WHY
Do things have to change?
WHY
I bleakly reminisce as I stare upon the magnificent sunrise
How my life has quickly flashed right before my eyes
