Folly,
Where are you?
I stalked the morning's sky,
but you were no where to be found.
Oh Folly,
It's been too long.
Four score,
and, 12 hours til' the break of night.
Folly's got a new love?
Oh say it isn't so!
No matter the outcome,
Folly's on my mind-
and, by day's demise, he'll be by my side.
Lights break will wash you gone,
'cause Folly's got an older ambition-
to leave me lonesome at dawn again.
You don't know what you're missing,
with the sun's rise on the waters ebb.
Oh, Folly has no idea.
The beauty, the bleed, and the beast.
Oh lovly ugly sweet morning scene.
Where are you Folly,
when I wish to share the day?
Folly's with his true love,
His darkened wake.
Calling hours steal you from my grip.
Oh Folly- how it's been too long.
Night fall will be coming soon enough,
so I can see my Folly once more.

This needs work. Bad misuse of punctuation, the grammar's off, there's some typos, and it was bland. Lacking in substance. Keep it up, you'll improve. |
