Almost Lost

Where did the time go?
When we were so close.
So much has happened since then
As if I lost you and the love is gone.
I look into your eyes when you don't notice
and I see that your not the same.
We use to be best friends and lovers all-in-one.
Now, it hardly seems we even know each other.
Tell me where, when, how did we grow so far apart?
Did I forget a special day?
Did I forget to say I love you or kiss you along the way?
Or did we just get to wrapped up in living and forget that special someone in our life?
Well, today I stand up for myself...
Turn and take my hand into the future.
It is here that I kneel to my knees and ask you to Marry me again.
Lets make this our new day.
After 20 years I want you to know
that I still love you more than ever.
So, what do you say?
