can you hear my heart breaking?

this time the fault is entirely mine

i hope you know i wasnt faking

i truly did give it my very best try

i wanted to kill you softly

so that you could love again

but the blood stains just wont come off me

even though its not really a sin

the feeling just isnt there

not even to nurture and grow

but dont doubt that i really cared

it wasnt just a show

i'll always love you dearly

though if you hate me, ill understand

i'll care for you sincerely

this betrayal was never planned

there isnt much else to say

nothing that would fix it, that is

so with a guilty concience, i'll walk away

and leave you with a kiss

perhaps it will linger forever

perhaps it will immediately die

but we're just not meant to be together

two people like you and I

I'm sorry for shattering your dreams

I'm sorry for letting you fall

I'm sorry for who i am,

but mostly....

I'm sorry for letting you love me at all.
