Touched By God's Right Hand

Contributed by gwenevere on Sunday, 12th June 2005 @ 01:33:26 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

My mother and my lover,I need you to be brave
I watch you as you softly weep, beside my silent grave
I see the poems you put there, they are all addressed to me
I hope you finally realise, my soul has been set free

I watch you as you toss and turn, when you both try to sleep
And as you do I hear the angels sigh and softly weep
They sing their song to tell you,to try to make you see
I am no longer lonely, they are looking after me

Please my darlings, don't be sad, for I am now at peace
From all my pain and troubles,I have found such sweet release
And though I know the both of you feel we are far apart
I'm sure I'll live for ever buried deep within your heart

I am here all around you,I'm with you everywhere
I'll send a soft white feather, just to show I'm there
So now my two dear loved ones, please try to understand
I'm very safe and happy,I've been touched by God's right hand
