Give me some time are the words he hears her say. Why do I have this funny feeling its not going to work and he will be the one left to pay. Nothing is ever fair in love and war. I know because I see him always left wanting more.
I feel that love is the biggest chore. It’s great in the beginning, but then why does it always become a bore. I see people cheat on each other; I hear her say to him the only one who loves you is your mother. War and love are interchangeable, and love never turns out like a good fable.
He screams out and says I am able, but he is always left on the wrong side of the table. He has all this love in his heart, how can she sit there and just tear him apart. He plays the little game and gives her the challenge of the chase as long as he can, but then I see him just wanting to hold her until she says when. Why won’t she just let him infuse her with all of his love, he can see the frightening waves of her past coming, but he knows he can hold her head above.
I see her reaction turn into a hurtful shove. She pushes him away and says someone like me you could never love. I hear these words saying I don’t want to be hurt again, and I want to say to her you’ll never know love until you try again.
I see her never finding love because she was hurt but that was her choice. I can’t help them because I wrote this in the third voice. That my friend was my choice, for I reside in a different time, a different place, yet I am talking from experience, for I too have been left something bitter of which to taste. However, love not shared is love gone to waste. If you choose not to love, your space will be filled with empty times, and separation will be forever your life’s chimes.
