Beauty in the Inbetweens

Contributed by hooray_its_jen on Saturday, 11th June 2005 @ 06:31:06 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Stop.
Look.
Open your eyes for the first time and realize
He can make something beautiful from the pain.

There's beauty in not knowing,
Beauty in the inbetweens,
After the light but before the dark.

There's still beauty in those painfully red colors
Bleeding as the sun goes down,
Covering the calm, shattering the blue.

Breaking the day.

So stop.
Look.
Even though the dark will come,
The sun is still more beautiful as it falls,
Revealing more than the ending of today
But revealing the blessing of the promise of tomorrow...

A second chance for what's left.

And fears will seem so trivial,
Because God didn't paint black in with the sunset.
Black comes after the beauty of red,

And blue will come after the beauty of black...
Someday.

My sweet darling Jenna. One day you will be with them all again, Your dad, Courtney and Jacoba. There is no fear as they are all with you everyday. My heart aches for the loneliness that will be from not seeing her, but you know where she is and she will be your angel.

I love you so,
Rita

Jenna,

I am so sorry to hear about Jacoba. What a beautiful tribute poem you have written. It is so hard to lose those we love. As you know from your other losses, there will be good days and sad days. I pray that soon; the good will outweigh the sad. My prayers are with you and your family. *hugs*

Carol

Your dependence on God amazes and encourages me. Know your sister is now singing praises to her Savior now. God bless Jenna.
