Among the crowd

Contributed by starry_eyed_soul on Saturday, 11th June 2005 @ 03:54:01 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

among the crowd
there is a girl
thinks shes in love
with this one boy

a simple arrow
flew through her heart
filling the void
she had once forgot

but think again
an arrows end is sharp
words of piercing pain
spoke to rhythm of a harp

this combination
not too rare
of a beautiful love-struk melody
sung without a care

the boy broke her heart
he left her without a glance
she couldnt believe her eyes
looking on without a chance

behind the hidden meaning
of this tragedy
is a girl filled with hurt
that no one seems to see

This seems relative to many people, not to mention the simplistic word choice allows many people to connect with the work. Good job ^.^
