Gun It Down

"Before I come to such a conclusion, I must rest my head. How can something like this happen to me? If anybody were smart, they'd shut up about it...I hate having to deal with such things like this. They keep saying that she did it, but they don't know. They didn't see it happen. She didn't do it! Or did she? No, she didn't...C'mon, Reka, don't think like that....it may seem like they're right, but they're not. Leyah is alive. She didn't put that gun to her head, and she definitely didn't pull the trigger. She's way too smart to do something like that. Right?"

Dear Reader,
Before you put this book down, think about what this passage is saying. Think about what this girl is going through. Think about all the pain that she can feel just from one thing. Just think, and listen. If you like books about death, suicide, and teen angst, read on. If the very thought of suicide hurts you, then I suggest that you not read this any longer. Suicide is a powerful thing, and many teens, and even adults, go through their daily lives thinking about it, or even experience it. This is a terrible thing, and it's even more woeful to write.

suicide is a very serious issue... i have never attempted myself but i have had thoughts and had friends that have gone through with thoughts but it never killed them thank god.... this sounds like it would be a great book... i would love to read it.... keep writing with that kind of emotion and feeling and you have yourself a great author someday....
