Slowly Falling Away

Didactic pressures engaged
From both sides I feel the rage
I hear the nonsense that makes
This human heart wants to break
I see the reluctance of people
To want to care a tad-bit more
I see the hesitant nature
In your generous offer
So I refuse the taking
And choose the righteous
Path unmistaken
A Pilgrimage
To the Mecca of my core
To the epicenter of it all
Where the muscle meets the bone
Where the blood vessel
Constrict and begin to moan
Clogged by the stone
That sits as a barrier
To pleasures unknown
To my contentment
I am my own shadow
Always alone
This Heat Wave
That I’m sending your way
Can scorch you
I would advise to look away
This force tumbling
Down the mountain
A vigorous thrusting
Of a compound less binding
Of a syllable less defining
In this miracle
You are
The pressure reclining
I am
Slowly falling
Away....
