I died today

Contributed by UnfallenTears on Saturday, 11th June 2005 @ 04:25:09 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Innocence stolen by her father
"Why, Daddy?" cries one small girl
Tears mix with blood as he rapes away her purity
Violated out of her own virgin world...

One little girl died today...

He stood up and faced the world
And it turned its back on him
A silver blade dances across his skin
He bleeds the pain away as the world around dims

One outcast died today...

Lost a home, husband, and children
No more loving curiosity
Left alone in heartless rejection
Tears her only companion in a world of animosity

One mother died today...

One old man tries to remember
His young grandson's name
He smiles at his family's tear-soaked faces...
As they watch him slip into a world of unknown fame

One grandfather died today...

Left alone here...
No one ally in this forsaken surrender
Drowning slowly in unfallen tears
As idealistic dreams hollow their only defender.

I died today

Great write, I really enjoyed this. If there was one thing I'd comment on itd be the order, the little girl kind of start out of no where and really strong you may have wanted to start with something someone was expecting.. that's just me - it was a great write! Keep up the good work.
