We are dying from the day we are born,
We're always losing time, losing so much,
People lost to time, only you can mourn,
With them go good times, memories and such.
Time is sneaky; it can slowly creep by,
Like you're stuck in a moment forever,
On the other hand time can really fly,
I envy time, I will like it never.
Time will take the most precious things away,
The past, a movie, the endings the same,
Need to get away, its one big delay,
I might sound really lame; it's not my aim.
If I had my way, I'd live in the past,
I've done it all, things wouldn't move so fast.

*nods and agrees with the first line*
How many times I have explored that avenue of thought!
There is comfort and consolation within that statement. It aids in the decline of fear, in regards to our very mortal and inevitable death.
"People lost to time" --an interesting perception/ angle of view.
Good work. |
