Your contempt,
is not heard - but felt.
Every part of you rejects me,
every part..... but your voice.
Loving words - the right words,
are betrayed,
by the insult of the uncaring,
that seeps from you.
There will be no escape,
from the pain of denial,
until your words and your feelings,
are aligned.
Crueller than silent insults,
is the futile hope that comes,
from words that contradict,
the indifference you reek of.
Anger,
a luxury I am not afforded,
would be a warm relief,
from the chill of the nothing you give me.
