Who am I?

Contributed by Lost4EvEr1541 on Saturday, 4th January 2003 @ 01:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I don’t know what the ***** is wrong with me,
I stare at the light, wishing it would alter into the pleasurable darkness.
I look at myself in the mirror, looking right past myself to an unfamiliar place.
Little white lies turn into tears, I’m not myself, I must confess.
Smiling is just a waste; an internal lie,
Do people really care about the way your lips look?
My emotions are running every which way,
My life’s just a terrorizing, never-ending book.
I’m just another dot on the face of this planet,
Just another person marked on the census note.
Never going to be anything special, but do I have to be?
If God loves us so much, why can’t he promote?

If I’m really that unhappy, and I cry every night,
Is there any significant value to the meaning of life?
Why do I have to stand alone, waiting for someone to look up?
Are they too afraid to see my problems, to stand by me through my strife’s?
Too many people are unreal and never really care.
I know the difference between a forged friend and those who really heed,
And those that really do love me, they know exactly how to show it,
They’ll always be with me forever, even when into heaven I precede.
I look into the mirror, to look right past the true meaning of life,
I left it behind; I gave my reasons to my best friend.
Everyone can see right through me, I only tried to help.
She was hurting, and on me she did depend.

I’m glad that you could rely on me so greatly,
And I’m always there, till the day I die.
If I go to heaven, I’ll save a spot for you,
And when you pray, I’ll be your reply.
You made me look at something, besides the life I lived.
The dreams that I once forgot, you made them reappear.
If I saw you with a gun to your head,
Instead of you, I’d volunteer.
I’ve got a best friend in you,
And that’s so special; they’ll never be a goodbye.
I’ve given you everything I’ve got, and your still not happy.
I don’t know what I’ve got to do, but I’ll just sit and cry.

Where would you be if we weren’t best friends?
Where would I be?
You’ll never be alone.
Forever I will love you.
You’re my protector and I am yours.
And that’s how it will be forever.
I just remember sitting, watching you cry,
Feeling so bad for not being able to stop.
I’ll never do anything to you; I’ll never leave you.
I’d cry your tears, and I’ll be there till the end.
I’ll never leave your side; I don’t want to see you cry.
Forever it’ll be us, c’mon; you’re my best friend.
