The blade taunts me
it teases, a never ending temptation
the cold hard metal
draws closer to my pale,
violated translucence
Where there are already roads,
and highways etched
Roads and highways that have
often helped me find my way
and i am lost yet again
the metal touches the
translucence and i calm
as the salty raindrops
stop falling from the tainted windows
through which i see the world
but this is only for a moment as
the rage bursts from me
the metal breaks through
the precious translucence
and drags itself along
i beg it to stop, to realize
what it's doing, but i know it's
no use because the metal
knows my weakness
little crimson bubbles rise
and drip down the pale
translucence
they purify me
they wash over me
taking with them my rage,
pain and hatred for an
uncompassionate world
i am refreshed, i am calm
and i am relieved because as my
legs lift me and carry me to the
door, twisting the knob,
i know whatever chaos shakes me
my map will set me right

Wow, this is a very strong write. While the poem is beautiful, its inspiration is a dangerous and sometimes fatal way to cope with the world. There are so many healthy ways to release your anger. of course those ways are harder to find than your "map".
I like the way you described the metal as having power over you. Ultimately, we have complete control over our minds and bodies.
Take care and keep writing!

Awesome write. A former mutilator myself i can realy appreciate this. I loved the way you used symbolism with the windows. This is really good and i hope to see more from you.
