It’s not his fault my feelings are gone, he told me how
he felt so he did nothing wrong.
At first I was blinded my foolish heart, thinking
his feelings I could outsmart.
All I did was set myself up for pain
Sitting there everyday wanting him in vain.
Now the blinds are lifted from my eyes,
No longer will I long to be by his side.
Don’t get me wrong we still have our friendship,
but anything more than that im over it.

great poem...i'm in this stage right now. i'm not quite over him yet though, i'm kinda mad at him now. went past sad, went past thinking i could've dne things differently. but unlike you, me and him are not friends...but i'll give it time.
anyway, i think this was really great writing
